Advancing Concussion Care: A Pilot Study to Assess the Impact of Introducing Different Neck Rehabilitation Exercises
The goal of the TopSpin pilot study is to assess the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of integrating structured neck strengthening exercises—using the TopSpin360™ device or conventional resistance bands—into the standard post-concussion care protocol for USNA Midshipmen. The purpose is to compare these interventions to standard care alone to see if they improve neck strength, reduce symptoms like neck pain, headaches, and dizziness, and hasten the time it takes for participants to return to learn, play, and duty (RTD).
