Investigation to Evaluate Effectiveness of Shockwave Therapy, Photobiomodulation and Physical Therapy in the Management of Non-insertional AT: A RCT with Elective Cross-Over Design in AD SMs

This study will evaluate efficacy of shockwave, photobiomodulation treatment, and standard physical therapy for the common overuse injury Achilles tendinopathy. Participants will be randomized into four groups: 1) physical therapy, or physical therapy combined with 2) shockwave treatments or 3) photobiomodulation therapy or 4) shockwave treatments and photobiomodulation therapy. At 3 months, participants may elect to cross-over to different treatment arm. The study will preliminarily identify comparative effectiveness for this common musculoskeletal injury.
